Film show: Drama surrounding ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ dominates reviews

Issued on:

We discuss some of the buzz surrounding “Don’t Worry Darling”. US director Olivia Wilde’s latest film stars Florence Pugh and Harry Styles, but much of the media coverage has focused on tensions between the cast and crew. Lisa Nesselson delivers her – wholly cinematic – reservations about the movie. We also delve into the metaverse, as “Everything Everywhere All at Once” continues its slow-burn success on the small screen, with Michelle Yeoh saving the universe via her alternate lives and destinies.

We then take a look at a harrowing chapter of Ukraine’s history, as Sergei Loznita’s documentary “Babi Yar. Context” revisits the Nazi massacre of tens of thousands of Jews.

Finally, James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster is back. “Avatar” returns to screens in anticipation of a sequel to the celebrated fantasy movie later this year.
